How To Fix A Dripping Tap by Bristan

Bristan has recently highlighted a great guide of how to fix a dripping tap with interactive video to compliment it. This is the article:

If you have a traditional older looking tap that is dripping from the spout after you have switched it off, then the most common cause of this problem is a defective washer within the tap itself. Dripping taps not only waste a lot of water (up to 90 litres of water a week) but if left unrepaired, then the problem may well get worse.

Rather than call out a plumber to help you fix the problem, then in the majority of cases, replacing the washer is a fairly straightforward task, that most of us can undertake. To help you, Bristan have commissioned a short video, which shows you how to do this in a simple step by step basis.

The video is one of a number of 'How to..' videos that have been added to the Bristan TV channel on YouTube. Currently there are 11 videos, covering a number of subjects from servicing or replacing a shower cartridge, to how to install a pop up waste. A list of the videos with relevant links are on the Bristan website or if you wish to view the video on how to replace a tap washer, click on the 'Replace the Washer' image above.

Trading Depot supplies the complete range of Bristan Taps and showers.
